The Carnegie Scholarship Program for the African Diaspora (CADFP) is an academic scholarship program for educational projects in African institutions of higher education. Offered by IIE in collaboration with the International University of the United States-Africa (USIU-Africa), the program is funded by a grant from the Carnegie Corporation of New York (CCNY). A total of 395 scholarships for the African diaspora have been awarded to academics traveling to Africa since the beginning of the program in 2013. CADFP exemplifies CCNY’s lasting commitment to higher education in Africa. The IIE administers and administers the program, including applications, project applications and scholarships. USIU-Africa provides strategic direction through the Advisory Council.
CADFP academic applications must be submitted and coincide with a project request on December 9, 2019 or earlier, to be considered in the fall 2019 review cycle. In addition, academics should familiarize themselves with the process of submitting a project. by a possible host institution in Africa.
