Bristol Short Story Prize – international writing competition is open for application.

The Bristol Short Story Prize is a global writing competition based mostly in Bristol, UK, which goals to publish great brief tales and promote the tales and writers as a lot as attainable.  Discovering beforehand unpublished writers is central to our goals, and we’re entirely dedicated to celebrating the short story style and making it accessible and out there to as broad a viewers as we can.

    Prizes for 2019 are: 1st prize- GBP 1000, 2nd prize -GBP 500, third prize -GBP 250. The 17 shortlisted writers left will obtain £100. The profitable story may also be published within the print version of the Bristol 24/7 journal in November 2019. An extra prize of GBP 100, The Sansom Award, in recognition of the contribution to Bristol publishing of John and Angela Sansom, can be offered to the best-positioned story by a Bristol author. If no story by a Bristol author is chosen for the 2019 Bristol Short Story Prize longlist, Bristol Short Story Prize reserve the proper to not current the Sansom Award. In the occasion of two or extra tales by Bristol writers being chosen for the Bristol Short Story Prize2019 longlist, John and Angela Sansom will choose the winner of The Sansom Award.

    Each of the 2019 Bristol Short Story Prize shortlisted authors will obtain two free copies of the paperback model of Bristol Short Story Prize Anthology Volume 12 and can be capable of buying additional copies at a reduction of 50%. The 2019 Bristol Short Story prize shortlisted writers can obtain any variety of copies of any quantity of Bristol Short Story Prize Anthologies at a reduction of 50%.
