The YES Program is a study program for Pakistani students. All high school students in Pakistan can apply. The USA Exchange Program 2025 applicants must be in the ninth and tenth grades in school. The Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program is funded by the Office of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the US Department of State. In the US, high school students from 39 countries can study in American high schools and live with American host families. The YES Program is developed by a consortium of organizations led by the American Councils. The fully funded exchange program in the USA covers all expenses and costs, from airfare to accommodation and tuition fees. Therefore, students do not need to worry about the hefty sum of money required to go abroad; they just need to check the criteria and give it a go. Students are enrolled in a full academic year of high school studies in the United States, attending classes, labs, and extracurricular activities with their American classmates. YES participants also participate in special enrichment activities, which include community service, a civic education program, youth leadership training and other activities that develop a comprehensive understanding of American culture through interaction with various groups of Americans. Similarly, participating students act as cultural ambassadors of their American host communities, becoming good resources for Americans, whose contact with YES students allows them to learn about the rich culture of the countries of origin of the students.
