WTO Young Professionals Programme 2025 in Switzerland

World Trade Organization is calling applicants to apply for the WTO Young Professionals Programme 2025 in Switzerland. It is an excellent opportunity for young professionals from developing and least-developed countries of WTO Members. The WTO Program aims to enhance applicants’ understanding of WTO principles and expertise in matters of international trade. The WTO Young Professionals Programme (YPP) also has the objective of expanding the cohort of professionals from these WTO Members, ultimately aiming to increase their presence in the WTO and other regional and international organizations. With this Young Professionals Programme, individuals will have the unique opportunity to gain work experience in the World Trade Organization (WTO) and also work at the Secretariat of the WTO. It is a fantastic initiative by the WTO that covers areas relevant to international trade. So, if you want to become a WTO Young Professional, make sure to apply for this opportunity in Switzerland.

Similarly, the WTO Young Professionals Programme 2025 is a fully funded program in Switzerland that offers numerous benefits to all applicants. It offers a monthly salary of CHF 4,000, along with providing medical cover and travel costs. Therefore, Young Professionals do not have to worry about financial constraints. The World Trade Organization Young Professionals Program 2025 has a duration of one-year, where individuals will learn and grow while working at WTO. Moreover, participants of the WTO YPP will go through a comprehensive program that may include various aspects of international trade including, trade and development, competition policy, accessions, dispute settlement and so on. The 2025 Young Professionals Program by WTO serves as a stepping stone for young professionals from underrepresented regions to boost their career in international trade and work in Geneva, Switzerland at the WTO Secretariat.

    Are you interested in becoming a WTO Young Professional? If you are, then make sure to go through the eligibility criteria to ensure you meet all the necessary requirements for the World Trade Organization YPP in 2025.

    Eligibility Criteria for WTO Young Professionals Programme in Switzerland:

    • To be eligible for this program in Switzerland, applicants should be 32 years old or younger as of 1 January 2025.
    • They should be a national of a WTO member state.
    • All candidates must have an advanced degree from a university in fields such as economics, econometrics, international relations, law, environmental studies, or other areas relevant to WTO functions.
    • Similarly, applicants must have completed their advanced degree before submitting their application.
    • Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience related to WTO operations is also a requirement of the YPP 2025.
    • All applicants should have a strong interest in international trade and a dedication to work with the World Trade Organization.
    • Moreover, they must be proficient in English. Proficiency in one of the WTO’s official languages, French or Spanish, is advantageous.
    • Priority is given to candidates from WTO member countries lacking representation at the professional level within the Secretariat.
    • All Young Professionals must be familiar with the functions of the WTO and have a keen interest in international trade to be eligible for the WTO Young Professionals Program.
