World Bank IFC Summer MBA Internship Program 2019 in USA

World Bank IFC Summer MBA Internship Program 2019 in USA are paid positions. Around 1500 applicants apply each year, of which 30-40 candidates are selected. Summer interns are assigned to industry, regional or service department within the IFC. The assignments cover different areas of work, such as the development of specific businesses in the sector, the review of investment proposals, modeling, and financial analysis, the strategy of advisory services and the evaluation of ex-post investment projects. The allocation depends on the needs of the department and the particular adjustment for the candidate. The departments contract directly by contacting the shortlisted candidates.

IFC works with the private sector in developing countries to create markets that open opportunities for all.

Your projects and programs are evaluated by the Independent Evaluation Group. The responsibility is guaranteed by the independent Office of the Ombudsman of the Compliance Advisor.

    • Candidates must be in the first or second to the last year of an MBA or similar graduate program.
    • The specific selection criteria include:
      • For investment positions, work experience (3-6 years) in international finance, which may include corporate finance, investment banking, financial consulting, private equity, credit analysis or commercial banking
