Applications are open for VRAF Internship Award. The award offers financial support for graduate candidates preparing for a career in Visual Resources and Image Management. The award grants USD 4,000 to support candidates for the period of internship in libraries, museums, archives, visual resources collections or other contexts. Interns will receive $3,000 as a stipend for 200 hours of internship at the site. Many other benefits are offered under the VRAF Internship award.
The Samuel H.Kress Foundation generously funds this internship. And the Visual Recourses. Association Foundation (VRAF) invites applications for the ninth VRAF Internship Award. The award is offered in concurrence with the academic year. The intern has to work on-site at their chosen host institution for a minimum of 200 hours. It is upon the internees whether they choose to start their internship in the fall, winter or spring.
Interns must begin internship within 30 days of the official beginning of the selected academic session or two academic quarters. Exceptional cases will be seen as per agreement between the selected intern and the VRAF Internship Awards Committee. Regardless of this, the internship must be finished within twelve months of the beneficiary being notified of the award.
