Eligibility Criteria for the TechGirls Summer Exchange Program 2026:
- All applicants must be between 15 and 17 years old at the start of the exchange.
- Applicants must demonstrate skills and show a serious interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and/or math) in their academic studies.
- Applicants must intend to pursue higher education and/or careers in STEM, particularly in technology.
- Similarly, participants must have strong English language skills (advanced intermediate).
- They exhibit maturity, flexibility, and open-mindedness.
- Participants must attend at least one additional semester of secondary school after returning back to their home countries.
- Moreover, all applicants must be committed to completing a community-based project upon their return home.
- To be eligible, applicants must be citizens and current residents of the participating countries in 2026.
- Participants must not have travelled to the US in the past 3 years as part of the ECA exchange program.
- Additionally, dual citizens living abroad are not eligible to travel to the USA under the program or to obtain a J-1 visa.
- All answers in the application, including the written responses to essays, must be the applicants’ original work, based on their own creativity and effort.
