SASUP Scholarships
This scholarship is only for students enrolled at the University of Porto in a bachelor’s or master’s program; the scholarship is awarded by the Social Services of U. Porto. The scholarships are offered for economically disadvantaged students who are financially burdened by tuition, living costs, accommodation, and other expenses. The scholarship is meant to support them financially and motivate them to study. Students from European member states, Portugal and other countries with cooperation protocol with U. Merit Scholarships
Porto also offers merit scholarships annually for the students who rank highest in their classes. The scholarship is offered as a monetary prize, which is five times the minimum national salary. The scholarship is for students enrolled in bachelors, masters or integrated master program and exhibits exceptional performance. The selection of applicants will be made by the U. Porto and its faculties. The University of Porto also awards incentives to the best students of all faculties. The amount of incentive is equal to the tuition fee of the program.
Scientific Scholarships
Porto sponsors scientific and research scholarships for degree holders, either be bachelor’s master’s or doctoral program; the scholarship aims to promote research projects and training. The duration of the scholarship is one year, but it can be renewed for three more years; the least duration of the scholarship is at least three consecutive months.
