NIG SUMMER INTERNSHIP IN JAPAN 2020

Applications are open for the NIG summer internship in Japan 2020. The international internship opportunity of NIG Summer Internship Japan and applicants from any country or nationality can apply for this fully-funded internship program. The best thing about this internship program is that you don’t need to pay the application fees and you don’t need to take IELTS / TOEFL.

The duration of the internship period of the National Institute of Genetics (NIG / Department of Genetics, SOKENDAI) is 6 weeks and the internship will run from June 18 to July 29, 2020. The dates of the internship paid in Japan may change Due to the Olympic Games held in Japan: the fully-funded summer internship will cover all the expenses of the finalists.

Undergraduate and master’s students can apply for internships in Japan. NIG will issue a certificate to those who have successfully completed the program. Interns can also participate in various activities, such as postgraduate program conferences, magazine clubs and seminars run by leading researchers from within and outside NIG. Japanese language classes are also available.

    Eligibility Criteria :

    Here is the eligibility criteria for the NIG SUMMER INTERNSHIP IN JAPAN 2020

    • Both undergraduate and graduate students can apply for international internships.
    • Students can submit an application if they are in the 3rd year of a 4-year degree program, in the 2nd year of a 3-year degree program, in the 4th year of a 5-year program, in the 1st year of a program 2- one year master program, or in the fifth year of a 6 year program. Students who are interested in enrolling in our Ph.D. NIG program are encouraged to apply.

    A letter of reference from a teacher / professional familiar with the work or research of your course.
    Analytical thinking exercise (1 hour duration)
    Brief statement of objectives (maximum of 500 words) on how your skills, experience and long-term professional objectives contribute to your candidacy
    Brief personal statement (maximum of 300 words) in response to one of the three questions below:
    To succeed, graduate academics must be resilient and resourceful. Discuss a challenge or failure you have faced and how you have tried to accept or overcome it. (300 words maximum)
    The IHME team is passionate and diverse. Describe your background, an interest, a hobby or a talent that is an important part of who you are. (300 words maximum)
    Graduate scholars are constantly learning. Share an experience that led you to question one of your beliefs or ideas. What came from this experience? (300 words maximum)
