    Nature Canada Photo Contest Requirements:

    • Digital files containing a high-resolution version of each photo.
    • The high-resolution photos must be uncompressed TIFF or maximum quality JPEG, grayscale, or color (RGB).
    • The digital files should be 3600 pixels wide by 2700 pixels tall (or 12”x 9”) at 300 dpi.
    • The photographs shortlisted for final choice must provide a high-resolution version of the photograph for reproduction.
    • The applicants who do not provide high-resolution versions of photos within the time set by contest sponsors will not be considered for the prize.
    • For web submissions, the emails must include the entrant’s full name, self-identification (Amateur, Professional, or Youth), and whichever category that you wish to enter and a description of their photo.

    Selection Criteria for Nature Canada Photo Contest:

    • There will be two early bird draws. The submissions made before July 1, 2025 (11:59 p.m. EST), will be eligible to win the first early bird prize decided by Nature Canada.
    • Moreover, the submissions made before August 10, 2025 (11:59 p.m. EST), will be eligible for the second early bird prize decided by Nature Canada.
    • The public voting for the Canada Photo Contest will be open in mid-September 2025 on the Nature Canada website and closes September 28, 2025, at 11 p.m. EST.
    • The winners will be selected by a panel of Nature Canada judges.
    • The public can also vote for more than one photo.
    • The finalist will be selected based on the evaluation made by the panel of judges and eligible photographs received.
