Applications are open for the NASA TechRise Student Challenge 2025. If you are a sixth to 12th-grade US student with the potential to build an experiment in the technology field, then this international challenge is an excellent opportunity for you. Whether in grade six or high school, this international competition is an excellent chance to represent your creative skills and gain global recognition for them. This U.S challenge is designed to provide a hands-on opportunity for participants to gain critical skills and hands-on experience in engineering, computing, and electronics. Whether you are a creative thinker or want to develop critical skills, this student challenge is for you. The challenge requires you to team up with your schoolmates and develop a science or technology experiment idea for NASA flight vehicles.
The NASA TechRise flight vehicles include a suborbital spaceship with approximately 3 minutes of microgravity or a high-altitude balloon with approximately 4 to 8 hours of flight at 70,000 feet to 95,000 feet and exposure to Earthโs atmosphere, high-altitude radiation, and perspective views of our planets. A total of 60 winners will be selected to build their experiment, and they will be provided a starter kit to build their experiment. Similarly, the winning teams of the NASA TechRise Student Challenge will also be awarded with compensation worth $1500 and an assigned spot to test their experiment on a NASA-sponsored flight. Technical support will also be provided to winning teams from Future Engineers during the experiment build phase. This will help students learn the skills necessary for turning their experiment into reality.
To qualify for the NASA TechRise Challenge, decide which project you want to build your experiment on. You can also submit a proposal for both projects. You will get a life-changing opportunity to study the space and analyse the stratosphere closely.
