Eligibility Criteria of Ireland Fellows Program 2026-27:
- Applicants must be resident nationals of one of the eligible countries.
- Applicants who are residents of Burundi can apply to the Courtney fellowship, and the eligible course of study for them is the MPhil in International Peace Studies Programme at Trinity College Dublin.
- Applicants who are residents of Nigeria can apply for the Roger Casement Fellowship. The eligible study course is Masters in Law, Human Rights, and Governance.
- Similarly, applicants who are residents of Namibia can apply for the Sean Mac Bride Fellowship. The eligible study course is Masters in Law and Human Rights.
- Applicants who are residents of South Africa can apply for the Kader Asmal Fellowship. Eligible courses of study are human rights, health, education, agriculture, engineering, business, computer science, and others.
- Applicants who are residents of Zambia can apply for the Frank Ferguson Fellowship. Eligible courses include a master’s in Civil Engineering, an ME in Energy Systems Engineering, an MSc in Mechanical Engineering, an ME in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and an MSc in Marine and Freshwater Resources Management.
- Applicants who are residents of African SIDs (Comoros, Mauritius, Guinea-Bissau, Seychelles, Sao Tome, Cabo Verde, Principe) can apply for the Ireland SIDs Fellowship. Eligible courses of study are human rights, health, education, agriculture, engineering, computer science, business, and others.
- Applicants must have at least two or three years of relevant work experience.
- Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized higher education institution with a minimum CGPA of 3.0/4.00.
- Furthermore, they must not hold a master’s degree before being eligible for the Ireland fellowship programme 2026/2027.
- Applicants from Senegal should have Senegalese Masters 2 and two to three years of work experience or Senegalese Masters 1 with related work experience.
- They must be available to start the Ireland fellowship program no sooner than August 2026.
- They must be able to demonstrate leadership abilities and skills.
- Furthermore, applicants must be committed in achieving the SDGs goals, and able to contribute to create positive relationships with Ireland.
- Applicants must have a clear understanding of English language proficiency to be eligible for the Ireland Fellows program 2026.
- Applicants must have not applied for the same Irish fellowship program for more than one time.
