The International Labor Organization calls for communications internship applications in Bangkok, Thailand. The internship will increase understanding of the relevant issues at the international level by directly involving them in the work of the Office and the application of ILO principles, programs and strategies. In addition to that, the intern will gain practical experience with the ILO directly related to his field of study.

    Eligibility Criteria :

    Candidates must have the following requirements to be eligible for this internship in the international labor organization.

    • Candidates must be in the last year of a postgraduate degree in a relevant technical field that includes mass communications, media relations, journalism, international relations, gender studies, international development or other relevant disciplines.
    • The experience of working in communications, labor migration, trafficking, violence against women or another related field is an advantage.
    • Similarly, the knowledge and experience of working with the constituents of the ILO or UN Women and in the ASEAN region would be more.

    Job/Internship Description :

    The intern will do the following tasks

    • Help write a press release and news articles, including the development of original content under the direction and editing of multiple contributors;
    • Support in the development and design of digital content, web and printed materials, as well as support in social media coverage of Safe and Fair events and activities.
    • Assist in the design, creation, writing of texts and editing of short videos for the development of the audience to unite the key messages of the Safe and Fair Program and dissemination activities.
    • Help take photos and videos, guided by guidelines on the use of photos from the UN system.
    • Support in the extraction of research analysis and preparation of information sheets. Similarly, supporting training in communications to staff and partners.
    • Preparation of drafts of presentations and summaries as assigned.
      Attend weekly meetings to inform and provide input for general communications and visibility efforts of program activities.
    • Be aware of the rules and guidelines of the brand and incorporate them into the activities assigned in communications and visibility of the Safe and Fair Program.
    • Contributing ideas to develop communications and visibility of the Safe and Fair Program.
    • In addition, keep constantly and continuously updated within the Communications for Development (C4D) industry through colleagues, media, workshops, meetings and learning resources of their own access.
