Global UGRAD is a one-semester non-degree academic study exchange program in the United States for a broad group of emerging student leaders. This exchange scholarship is entirely funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and attempts to recruit participants from underrepresented backgrounds who have not had previous opportunities to study in the U.S. Furthermore, students will gain a deep understanding of American society, culture, and academic institutions, as well as opportunities to improve their professional abilities.

Selected candidates of the U.S. Global Undergraduate Exchange Program for international students will be placed in different host universities for full-time, non-degree undergraduate coursework chosen from the existing curriculum. To improve their awareness of the United States, participants will be required to take one 3-credit U.S. studies course. Participants in the U.S. Global UGRAD program 2024 will share campus housing with American peers and must complete twenty hours of community service.
Virtual arrival orientation and an in-person end-of-program workshop will also be provided. The fully funded cultural exchange program will not only result in personal and leadership skills development, but it is also an opportunity to exchange cultures of different countries and experience living in a country known as the hub of opportunities.
