ESO Science Journalism internship is now accepting applications. The international internship is entirely funded organized by ESO (European Organisation for Astronomical Research in the Southern Hemisphere). It is six months long internship. A monthly stipend will be given along with coverage of residential expenses. A wide range of programs having specific requirements of print media, electronic media, and social media will be provided. This internship will be held in Germany organized by ESO. The main work will be based on astronomy.
Interns will be working with the professional team of science communicators to prepare ESO news and press release, video scripts, publications, web pages, exhibition panels and other publications. Candidates will get a chance to involve in different projects and learn about how large scale international organization works. They will also get a better understanding of how to turn complex scientific writings into an easy and understandable manner and how text and audiovisuals can make the scientific approach attractive.
