    Eligibility Criteria :

    Students must meet the following criteria for the DAAD masters scholarship:

    • Students must be from an eligible country.
    • African students must have an excellent academic record.
    • Must be a highly qualified graduate.
    • Students must have a bachelor’s degree by the time of application.
    • Second class upper division in the previous degree.
    • Bachelor’s degree completion should not be of more than six years at the time of application.
    • Knowledge of English and German language.
    • Qualified refugees are eligible to apply.

    • Travel allowance.
    • Yearly academic allowance.
    • Monthly rent subsidy and accommodation grant for student’s family.

    • Students can attend the language course in Germany before their studies start.

    Required documents:

    • Filled application form.
    • CV of a maximum of three pages.
    • Letter of motivation. Of three pages stating your planned study project.
    • Academic degree certificates.
    • Language proficiency certificate.
    • Copy of passport or national identity card.
    • Recommendation letter.
    • Refugees must provide their UNHCR registration proof or official proof of asylum.
    • Other documents: employment certificate, internship certificate, previous scholarship proof, extracurricular activities proof, and evidence of admission to any German master’s program.
