Community Accelerator Program by Facebook is a program to equip impactful communities with training, mentoring and funds to grow. It is an evolution of its Scholarship program, which in 2019 supported 115 participating leaders around the world. Together, those leaders reported that their projects impacted more than 1.9 million lives through online community support, use of helpful resources, and other activities possible through the program. In their conversations with community leaders in recent years, they learned that many of them seek support and guidance on how to grow their communities. Therefore, they want to take a holistic approach to support these communities. In addition to creating the educational tools and resources they need, the Facebook team is also creating programmatic ways to provide training, support, and funding to enable larger communities to have an even greater positive impact on the world.

Here are some eligibility criteria for the Community Accelerator Program by Facebook

This program is open to communities with leaders 18 years of age or older
Communities must have been in existence for more than a year (either online or offline), and must have a minimum of 5,000 members if they are primarily online.
The program will be conducted in English or Portuguese (if applicable from Brazil).

Benefits :

Facebook will work with GlobalGiving to fund participant-approved growth plans. Up to $ 3 million in total will be awarded to program participants. Selected participants will receive up to $ 30k to execute their growth plans during the 6-month program and may be eligible to receive part of the additional $ 500K funds available at the end of the program to further increase their communities and impact.
