Moreover, the international competition aims to raise awareness about the achievement of the UN SDGs and encourage critical thinking regarding solutions to regional and global challenges. The theme of this international essay contest by CICA is “Youth as Catalysts for Peace, Cooperation and Sustainable Development in the CICA Region.” Entries must submit unique, well-researched essays in English. Entries should showcase realistic solutions to the current global challenges.

Individuals from CICA member states between the ages of 18 and 30 are eligible to apply for this international essay competition. The CICA Essay Contest 2025 is a fully funded competition that will provide winners with a fully funded trip to Baku, Azerbaijan. There will be three winners, and they will get a 3-day stay in Baku for free. All travel costs, including accommodation, local transport, round-trip airfare, and other related cost, will be covered. Winners will also get a chance to visit different places in Baku. Moreover, they will also receive an official certificate during a special ceremony.
