British Academy Global Professorship Program 2022

Eligibility Criteria :

The eligibility criteria for Global Professorship Program are provided below:

• Applicants must have a PhD degree to be considered for the global professorship program or have equivalent research experience.
• Applicants must be willing to accept an unpaid leave of absence or employment at a UK institution that meets the criteria. 
• There are no co-applicants allowed.
• No awards will be awarded retroactively, so the task for which funding is sought must not have begun before the award is announced. 
• If an applicant’s national environment makes this unclear, the academy invites contact with them before they submit their applications. 
• Awards are only accessible to individuals and must be held in an institutional environment.
• Applications must be for novel research concepts that are self-contained 
• Applicants must nominate one academic referee who is neither affiliated with the UK host university nor the abroad institution where the applicant is based at the time of application and is not participating in the research program or other activities described in the application. 
• The referee must sign and date the statement, which must be printed on letterhead paper.
• Applicants must provide a written expression of support from a senior member of their intended UK host institution (usually a Pro-Vice-Chancellor or equivalent, or at the very least a Head of Department/Faculty/Institute).
